Rhys Millen Backflips a truck

Rhys Millen is well established as one of the Top Drifters outside of Japan but back in 2008 he decided that if a motocross bike can do it twice and a BMX can do it three times, why the hell can’t i get a truck to do a backflip!!

When I first started to watch this I almost had to tell my self it was not a scene from a Bond film. I don’t really like the new Clubman but this definitely puts it in a more favourable light!!!

Both Monster and RedBull seem to have that Midas touch!

The Limo!!!

When I think of a Limo it’s either full of School leavers or a Hen Doo, window down with some in comprehensible, almost Tourette’s like screech bellowing out or half a body holding a bottle of cheap sparkling wine “Woowing” like some overgrown child pretending to be a steam train rolling into station.

Out of the blue i stumble across this SuperBus on the Daily Mail website and it made me rethink my whole idea on the Limo? Maybe there is a Limo out there that would change my view and convince me that they have their place and boy oh boy did I find some different Limo’s all with different appeal.

Next special event I have to make an entrance at I’ll definitely be  looking to see if I can’t hire one of these Unique creations

Mercedes Unimog

Since owning, and using to the limits, a Series IIa 88 Land Rover I have loved off-roading. A lovely summers evening after work I would pop out and grab one of the boys and a disposable BBQ before meeting up with a couple more 4×4’s (Suzuki SJ’s, Rage Rover Classics, Jeep TJ’s, various other Land Rovers and Nissan Patrols) and heading out down our favourite Green Lane stopping of at the highest point on our trail to drop the tail gate and spark up the BBQ.

Why you ask am I painting a picture of such a normal trip out on the green lanes? Well all these memories came flooding back to me when I saw on PistonHeads that the Unimog was celebrating its 60th birthday this year. I had lusted after this amazing 4×4 beast ever since I had seen an all singing all dancing example doing a display at a car event I was at, the things these vehicles can do and the places they can go is amazing.

Just another vehicle on the must have list (think I need to sort out a serious savings plan if I’m going to make any kind of dent in the list :))
